Using this site
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms, and the version published here is the one that applies.
The information here is general
The pages on this site describe the work we do in general terms. They are not an assessment of your property and they are not engineering advice for your site. What a job actually needs depends on the soil, the slope, the water table, the setbacks and what the town requires, and we determine that on site.
Where we describe materials, methods or typical sequences of work, that reflects how we normally do things. Codes, products and town requirements change.
Estimates and pricing
Nothing on this site is a binding quote or an offer of a contract. Excavation pricing depends on access, ledge, water, haul distance, disposal and the scope of work, none of which can be judged from a web page. Pricing is confirmed in writing after we have looked at the site.
A request sent through the form on this site is an enquiry. It does not create a contract, reserve a date, or commit us to a price.
Permits, design and inspections
Septic systems, driveway entrances, shoreland work and most site work in Maine involve permits, a site evaluation or a licensed designer, and town or state inspection. We will tell you what a particular job needs, but responsibility for the permit sitting with the right party is settled in the contract for that job, not here.
Photographs on this site
Project photographs show work we have done. They illustrate the type of work rather than promise a particular result on your property, because no two sites are the same.
Links to other sites
Where we link to a town office, a state agency or another third party, we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs and design on this site belong to Boynton Brook Farm & Excavation unless stated otherwise. Please do not reproduce them without permission. You are welcome to link to any page here.
Limitation of liability
We take care to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law and contact
